Services Tuesday for Nellie Balmer

Funeral services for Mrs. Harry F. (Nellie B.) Balmer, 54, of route 1, Kellogg, will be held at 1 pm Tuesday at Toland funeral home.

The Rev. Arthur V. Long, pastor of the First Methodist church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.

Mrs. Balmer died Saturday at the Nelson Manor in Newton.

Mrs. Balmer is survived by her husband, Harry F. Balmer of Kellogg; her father, George Stoltz of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (LaVone) Curtis of Alamogordo, N.M.; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Grace Boier of Dearborn, Mich.; four brothers, Bill Stoltz of Moravia, Dan Stoltz of Austin, Minn., Clyde Stoltz of Curlew and Roy Stoltz of Emmetsburg.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Mrs. Balmer was a member of the First Methodist church in Newton and the Amboy Grange.

The daughter of George and Christena Johnson Stoltz, she was born June 14, 1905 at Curlew.

She was married April 6, 1947, at Des Moines to Harry F. Balmer. ~ Newton Daily News, Newton, IA, January 4, 1960
