A Young Man Stricken
While he had not been in good health for some time, the death of Lawrence Hickman last Monday was something of a shock to his friends. For a young man to be called in the very prime of his young manhood with a long and useful life before him is always to be deplored.
Lawrence Hickman, son of Grant and Dora Hickman was born at LeGrange, Laramie Co., Wyoming, September 28, 1889, and departed this life March 6, 1916, at the home of his parents, in Mound Prairie township, being 26 years, 6 months and 6 days old at the time of his death.
Lawrence was a young man of exemplary habits, always ready to give a helping hand wherever needed, and will be greatly missed in the large circle of friends and acquaintances as well as in his home.
He leaves to mourn his departure a father, mother, five sisters, one brother, his aged grandmothers and a number of uncles, aunts and cousins.
The funeral services were held at the home conducted by Rev. Brown, of the Methodist church. The music was furnished by a quartet made up of Messrs. B. F. Van Dyke and D. T. Jones and Mesdames John Williams and Frank Regner. Interment at the Metz cemetery.
