After only a week’s illness of inflammation of the stomach, Miss Retta Miller died yesterday afternoon at half past five at her home 424 East Washington Street. Altho Miss Miller has not been very well for a long time, this last serious illness was only a few days, and many of her near friends did not know she was ill.

The funeral will be held Sabbath afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the United Presbyterian Church. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, Friday, December 21, 1906, Page 5, Column 4
