Miss Ruth Honor Foster, daughter of Mrs. Susie Foster, near Montezuma, died at the M. E. Hospital in Des Moines, Wednesday, Nov. 14, 1906. She was born Oct. 2nd, 1883, near Otley, in Marion County. Her sickness was of two weeks duration. Her mother and brother, Ellsworth Foster, of Newton were with her during the latter part of her sickness. She has four brothers and two sisters who survive her, Estes Foster, Jas. Foster of Monroe, Geo. Foster of Montezuma, Mrs. Chas. Adams, Lacy, Iowa, Mrs. George Steele, of Connellsville, Iowa. All were present at the funeral except the last named.

The remains were brought to Monroe for interment, the funeral services were held at the Baptist Church, Thursday morning. Rev. Reinking conducted the services. – Monroe Mirror. ~ The Newton Daily News, Friday, November 23, 1906, Page 4, Column 4
