Sunday evening Mr. M. E. Knapp, on West Palm Street, received a message from Excelsior Springs, Mo., telling of the death of his son, George. Upon returning a telegram of inquiry the following letter was received from the physician in charge of the hospital.
Dear Sir: George Knapp died here Sunday morning about four o’clock and in accordance to your telegram of this morning, I am burying her [sic] at Pisgia Church. When I found George sick in a boxcar the early part of the week, I brought him to the hospital, where he lived until Sunday morning. When told he was going to die, his request was “bury me here.”
