Infant Boy Dies At Prairie City
Prairie City (Special to The Daily News) – Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for James Richard, 7-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Vander Leest, who died Monday, march 3, at the Lutheran hospital in Des Moines.
Rites were held at the First Christian Reformed church.
The infant was suffering with pneumonia when taken to the hospital early Monday evening.
The parents and three sisters, Dolores, Shirley and Beverly, survive besides the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hawkins.
