Rites Today for Brownfield Child
Short funeral services were to be held this afternoon at the Murdoch Funeral home for Karen Ann, 9-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Brownfield, 724 East Tenth street South. The infant died Saturday at the Skiff Memorial hospital where she had been a patient for a month.
Dr. L. B. Logan was to be in charge of the service with interment following in the Newton Union cemetery.
The mother is the former Thelma Birkenholtz.
The child was born May 31, 1940 at the Iowa City hospital.
