Services Wednesday For Mrs. Clevenger
Services for Mrs. Ulrie (Mabel) Clevenger, 72, were held Wednesday afternoon in the Baptist Church.
The Rev. Russell Farrel, minister of the Baptist Church, conducted services.
Mrs. Clevenger passed away at the Pella Community hospital Monday.
Mrs. Clevenger was a member of the Monroe Baptist Church, the Eastern Star, the Monroe Women’s Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Senior Missionary Society and the Women’s Relief Corps.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Maxine) Vander Ploeg of Monroe and Mrs. James (Carol) Vriezelaar of Waverly; two sons, Lloyd L. Clevenger of Monroe and Lyle C. Clevenger of Fairfield, a brother, H. H. LeGrand of Monroe, and a sister, Ora M. LeGrand of Prairie City and 15 grandchildren.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. LeGrand, Sr., she was born October 22, 1891 in Marion county.
She attended Marion county schools and Drake University in Des Moines.
She was married February 26, 1914 to Ulrie Clevenger and had resided in Monroe since her marriage.
