Rites Held Tuesday For Lorn Thomasson
Funeral services for Lorn M. Thomasson, 79, a longtime resident of Monroe, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Crumpacker Funeral Home in Monroe.
The Rev. James Poulsen, minister of the Monroe Methodist church, conducted the services.
Mr. Thomasson died Friday evening at a nursing home in Knoxville.
He was married to Myrtle Birkenholtz October 12, 1920 at Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Myrtle, two brothers and one sister.
Mr. Thomasson is survived by two sons, Roy of Knoxville and Carl of Utah; a daughter, Clara Jean Edwards of Knoxville; six brothers, John, Jake, George, Charles, Clyde and Del, all of Monroe; and two sisters, Mrs. Guy Banks of Monroe and Mrs. Erma Whitted of Fairplay, Colo.
