Life Story Of Eva Worley
Eva May Worley, daughter of William and Eliza Bowman, was born near Monroe January 25, 1877 and departed this life August 9, 1963, at the Lone Elm Rest Home at Grinnell where she had resided the past five years. She was 86 years, 5 months and 15 days.
On November 27, 1895, she was united in marriage with Charles Worley and to this union four children were born, all of whom are still living. She had spent most of her life in the Monroe community except for a few years in Mansfield, Mo., and Siloam Springs, Ark., and the past nine years which she had spent with and near her daughter, Dollie Edgerton.
She was converted at an early age and united with the Baptist church at Monroe where she was a faithful member as long as she lived in Monroe.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, one brother, John Bowman, and her husband, who passed away April 15, 1920.
She leaves to mourn her departure her four children, Mrs. Iona Wing of Gresham, Ore., Harry of Newton, Paul of Sioux City, and Mrs. Dollie Edgerton, Grinnell; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Wilson and Mrs. Alice Vander Pol, both of Monroe; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
