Services Held Tues. For Willard Wilson
Ralph Willard Wilson was born November 29, 1904 on a farm near Reasnor. He was the only child of Ann M. Ticknor and Everret L. Wilson and passed from this life July 13, 1963 at the age of 58 years, 7 months and 14 days.
On February 16, 1927 he was united in marriage to Opal Honor Birkenholtz at her family home near Monroe. This union was blessed with the birth of two children, Ula Mae and Dean.
In 1939 Willard was struck by the first of several major illnesses which was the burden he bore with courage for many years.
Leaving the farm in 1939, he went to work for Whitted Implement where he remained an employee for 23 years.
A Methodist, he was a member of the Knights of Pythias, serving as secretary for several years.
He is survived by his wife, his mother, a son, Dean of Knoxville, a daughter, Mrs. Carroll (Ula Mae) Herwehe of Newton, three grandchildren and several other relatives.
Services were held Tuesday, July 16 at the Methodist church with the Rev. James Poulsen officiating.
