Funeral Services For James Foster Wed.
James Leroy Foster, 82, a lifelong resident of the Monroe and Otley communities, died Monday evening at his home in Monroe after suffering a heart attack.
Funeral services for Mr. Foster were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Crumpacker Funeral Home in Monroe.
The Rev. Orin Young, minister of the Monroe Methodist Church, conducted the services. Burial was in the Monroe cemetery.
Mr. Foster is survived by his wife; a brother, Estes Foster of California; a sister, Alice Steel of Kirksville, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Foster was born November 5, 1879, near Otley.
He was married to Pearl Tool February 21, 1906.
Mr. Foster farmed in the Otley and Monroe areas until retiring and moving to Monroe three years ago.
