Services Mon. For Frank Turner
Frank Turner, 79, a longtime resident of Jasper county, died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday at the Nelson Manor in Newton.
Mr. Turner had been a resident of the Nelson Manor since June 1960.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Prairie City Christian church.
The Rev. James Martin conducted the services. Ila Sanger, organist, accompanied Marie Danley and Edith Williams as they sang a duet.
Pallbearers were Pete Gilbert, Herman Holmes, Al Chamberlin, D. B. Carter, Dick Zaayer and George Vanderzyl. Burial was in Prairie City Waveland cemetery.
Mr. Turner is survived by three sons, Francis Turner of Florida, Joe Turner of Des Moines and Walter Turner of Waterloo; and a daughter, Mrs. Vern (Mary) Klein of Monroe.
Mr. Turner, a resident of the Monroe community for many years, was born July 5, 1881 in Prairie City.
