Mrs. Loren Thomason Passed Away Tues.
Mrs. Loren B. (Myrtle) Thomason, 59, longtime resident of Monroe, died Tuesday at her home in Monroe.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Crumpacker Funeral Home in Monroe.
The Rev. Orin Young, minister of the Monroe Methodist church, conducted the services. Burial was in Monroe cemetery.
Mrs. Thelma Lewis was vocalist. Pallbearers were Verle Fleming, Ivan Fleming, Marion Birkenholtz, Albert Lincoln, Joe Banks and Jack Kingery.
Mrs. Thomason is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Clara Jean) Edwards of Knoxville; two sons, Roy Thomason of Knoxville and Carl Thomason of Boise, Ida.; four sisters, Mrs. Pearl Ver Dught, Mrs. Ethel DeBruyn, Mrs. Carrie Fleming and Mrs. Rosa Fleming, all of Newton; and four brothers, Elmer, Willie, Frank and Charllie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Earl and Lawrence.
The daughter of August and Marv Birkenholz, she was born north of Monroe December 16, 1900.
She was married to Loren B. Thomason October 12, 1920.
With the exception of 19 years spent in Knoxville, she spent all of her life in the Monroe community.
