Services Held For Mrs. Edwin Ferguson
Mrs. Edwin (Anna Elizabeth) Ferguson, 79, a resident of the Monroe community for 20 years, died at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Skiff Memorial hospital in Newton.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Crumpacker Funeral Home in Monroe.
The Rev. Orin Young, minister of the Methodist church, conducted the services. Burial was in Monroe cemetery.
Mrs. Ferguson is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leroy (Gladys) Warren of Spencer and Mrs. Opal Neil of Barnum, Minn., and two sons, Earl Ferguson of Ocala, Fla., and Claude Ferguson of Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Mrs. Ferguson was born December 24, 1881 at Wiota.
After her marriage to Edwin Ferguson July 1, 1898, she resided in Spencer, Newton and Baxter before moving to Monroe.

Life Story Of Mrs. Anna Ferguson
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Ferguson were held last Thursday afternoon at the Crumpacker Funeral Home.
Rev. Orin Young, pastor of the Monroe Methodist church, conducted the services. Burial was in Monroe cemetery.
Pallbearers were Clyde Thomason, Everett Stringer, John Poortinga, Raymond Kane, Wayne Van Baale and Levi Deitrick.
Mrs. Ferguson was born the daughter of Galenis and Sarah Ann Burris December 24, 1881 near Wiota, and passed away at Skiff hospital in Newton January 1, having a few days previously observed her 79th birthday.
She was united in marriage to Edwin B. Ferguson on July 1, 1898. The greater part of their married life was spent farming at Winterset, Baxter and Spencer. In 1939 they made Monroe their home.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1945. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. LeRoy Warren of Spencer and Mrs. Everett Neil of Barnum, Minn.; two sons, Earl of Ocala, Fla., and Claude at home; 14 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
