Rites Held Thurs. For Mrs. J. Snelson
Mrs. John (Anna Maye) Snelson, 55, a resident of this community for the past three years, died Tuesday morning at her home after a long illness.
Funeral services were held Thursday at Crumpacker Funeral Home with Neal Armstrong officiating. Mrs. Thelma Lewis was soloist with Mrs. Letha Gloyd accompanying her on the piano.
Pallbearers were Harold Bowie, Guy Reeves, Claude Pendroy, Eugene Simbro, James Pendroy and James DeMoss. Burial was in Monroe cemetery.
Mrs. Snelson was born December 7, 1904 at Bussey. She was married to John Snelson August 15, 1949.
She is survived by her husband; her father and mother; three sisters, Mrs. Harold (Edna) Bishop of Boise, Idaho, Mrs. Marian (Eleanor) Smith of Knoxville and Mrs. Harry (Bertha) Warner of Iowa City; two aunts, Katherine Edwards of Cedar Falls and Maude Richmond of Richmond, Calif.; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.
