Between five and six o’clock yesterday morning, Jacob Rood died at his home in Galesburg, after a weeks illness of pneumonia. Deceased was a man about sixty years of age. He leaves a wife and six children. Mr. Rood formerly resided in Adamson Grove and removed with his family to Galesburg six years ago. ~ The Newton Daily News, Wednesday, April 11, 1906, Page 1, Column 4
