Walter S. Manning, brother of W. R. and John Manning of this city, died at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Wednesday evening. The funeral will be held from the home of his sister, Mrs. J. R. Rodgers at Colfax Saturday morning at 10 o’clock and the body will be brought to Newton for burial. ~ The Newton Daily News, Friday, April 27, 1906, Page 1, Column 5
