Dies After Illness of Thirteen Weeks
Mrs. Priscilla Hennigan Dies Here This Morning; Health Failing Since Shock From Cyclone
Mrs. Priscilla Hennigan died this morning at four o’clock at the home of her son, E. B. Hennigan, of this city after an illness covering thirteen weeks. The cause of her death was an attack, which was followed by complications. She was taken worse at the time of the cyclone, when the home in which she was living then, was moved from its foundation, giving her a bad shock. She has gradually declined in health since that time.
Arrangements for the funeral have not been definitely made. It is thought that the services will probably be held at the Methodist church on Friday.
Priscilla Logsdon was born August 18, 1856 in Jasper county. She was raised in this county and has always lived here. She was married to J. F. Hennigan October 27, 1873. Seven children were born to them, all of whom are now living. William C., James, Eben, Thomas F., and Martha Shrull, are all resident of this city, and those out of town are Georgia McMasters of Rock Island, Ill., and Marie Epps of Carlisle. Ten brothers and sisters also survive.
Mr. Hennigan died here November 14, 1899. Later, the widow married Fremont Reynolds, from whom she later obtained a divorce, the court restoring to her the surname of her first husband. Since that time, she has made her home with her children here.
