SARAH ALEXANDER FUNERAL SERVICES CONDUCTED TODAY

Mrs. Sarah Fannie Alexander, 79, of Grinnell, wife of John Alexander, died Saturday evening at a local hospital following an illness of the past two weeks.

Funeral sevices were held this afternoon (Monday) from the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Shireman, pas-

(piece missing)Hazelwood cemetery.

She was born August 21, 1883, at Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Stephen C. and Roseann Hurt Dobbs, one of a family of 10 children, When she was three years of age, the family moved to Kentucky, where she received her education, and later on December 10, 1913, was united in marriage with John Wesley Alexander.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Alexander is survived by a son, Otha Marvin Alexander of Grinnell; one grandchild; and 2 great grandchildren; and 7 brothers and sisters, Mrs. 'Math' (Lola) Hurt, Mrs. Willie (Lura) Blevins, and Frank and Berry Dobbs, all of Kentucky; Edmond Dobbs of Grinnell, Hubert Dobbs of Searsboro; and Mrs. Neal (Ollie) Barbary of Newton.
