Death of Mrs. Airy

Mrs. Sabina Airy, wife of Wm. J. Airy, died at her home in Oskaloosa, on Saturday morning, July 15th, aged twenty-seven years and fifteen days.

Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Landmesser, and was born at the old Landmesser home in Elk Creek Township, but has lived for several years in Oskaloosa. She leaves a husband and two small children to mourn her untimely demise. Only a few months ago she was in the bloom of health, but the dread disease, quick consumption, took hold on her life of happiness to blot from earthy existence one who was dearly loved by all who knew her. Mrs. Airy was a niece of Geo. J. Williams and Louie Landmesser, both of whom with their wives, went to Oskaloosa on Saturday and remained to attend the funeral on Monday afternoon. ~ The Newton Record Thursday, July 20, 1899
