William Aillaud Services Monday; Dies on Friday
Funeral services for William Louis Aillaud, 70, of 1103 Woodland Drive, who died Friday morning at his home after suffering a heart attack, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Morgan-Loehr Funeral Home.
The Rev. William Sexton, minister of the First Presbyterian Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Aillaud will lie in state after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Masonic rites will be conducted at the cemetery.
A lifelong resident of Newton, Mr. Aillaud is survived by his wife, Violet; two daughters, Mrs. Vernon G. (Dorothy) Young and Mrs. Harold (Lenore) Skow, both of Newton; a grandchild, and a brother, Dr. Harold C. Aillaud of Algona.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Aillaud was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a member and past master of the Palo Alto Grange and a member and past president of the Newton Camera Club.
Mr. Aillaud, who for many years was a salesman for the Northwestern Mutual Insurance Co.,was employed at Switzer's Furniture Co. in recent years.
The son of Charles and Addie Helphrey Aillaud, he was born Oct. 1, 1893 in Newton. He attended Newton schools.
Mr. Aillaud was married to Violet Guthrie [Wilson] Nov. 13, 1917 in Des Moines. ~ Newton Daily News September 6, 1964
