Mrs. Ruby Mae Adams, 59, of Newburg died at her home Tuesday evening of an apparent heart condition.

The daughter of Eugene and Eva Phillips Davis, she was born Feb. 20, 1910, at Volney, Va. The family later came to Newburg, and she later graduated from Newburg high school with the class of 1928. Mrs. Adams lived in Washington, D. C., for a number of years.

On Dec. 18, 1967, she was married to Harry G. Adams at Gilman, and the couple had made their home in Newburg since that time. Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband Harry, her mother Mrs. Eva Davis of Marshalltown, and her son Roger G. Taylor of La Mesa, Calif. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Roger, David, and Steven Taylor, all of La Mesa; a brother, William Howard Davis of Washington, D. C.; and a sister Mrs. Howard (Louise) Green of Marshalltown. She was preceded in death by her father in 1944.

Funeral services for Mrs. Adams will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. L. Willard Reynolds, minister of the Newburg United Church of Christ (Congregational), officiating. Organist will be Mrs. Donald J. Renaud, and vocalists will be Mr. and Ms. Virgil Palmer.

Pallbearers include Charles Carnahan, Ithel C. Gillespies, Delmar Howard, James McIlrath, Harry Rutherford, and Derald Weaver.
