A message has been received by his brother, Forest Patterson, in this city of the death of R. C. Patterson, at Boulder, Colorado, Saturday, March 17. The cause of his death was pneumonia. Mr. Patterson was born and raised about seven miles northeast of Newton. He will be remembered by many of the students of the Hazel Dell Academy, as he formerly attended that school.
