Carolina M. Baird was born in Ohio on August 28, 1829. Was married to Thomas Wilson of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, in 1852. To them were born 8 children, 6 sons and 2 daughters, all of whom have passed away except one son, Harry Wilson, who resides in Colfax.
At the time of her death, November 1, 1917, Mrs. Baird was aged 88 years, 2 months, and 3 days. Funeral services were held Saturday at the home of her son in Colfax after which the remains were laid to rest near Des Moines.
