Mrs. Lyle Page Dies at Home, Rites Wednesday
Mrs. Lyle Page, 48, resident of the Newton vicinity for 29 years, died yesterday at her home in McFarland’s addition from a heart condition.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o’clock at the Steffy Funeral Home in Montezuma with burial in Montezuma.
Mrs. Page was born Bessie Bernice Johnson on Aug. 18, 1903, at Montezuma. On Aug. 14, 1922, she was married to Lyle Page at Mason City and the couple moved to Newton soon after. She was a member of the Community Heights church here.
She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Emery (Arlou) McLead of Newton; two grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Alta Johnson of Newton, and a sister, Mrs. Floyd Johnston of Conrad.
