WINIFRED M. "WINNIE" HAGEN

Winifred M. "Winnie' Hagen, 90, of Kellogg, died on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007 at the Friendship Manor Care Centre in Grinnell.

The daughter of Ovid E. and Mildred (Riley) Shoemaker, Winnie was born on July 21, 1916 in Davis City, Iowa. She was a graduate of Davis City High School.

On Sept. 27, 1934 Winnie was united in marriage to Russell I. Hagen in Bethany, Missouri. She was a homemaker. Winnie was a member of the Kellogg United Methodist Church and the Kellogg United Methodist Church Women's Group. She enjoyed traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Harvey Shoemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Russell of Kellogg, son, Robert Hagen of Kellogg; three daughters, Barbara (George) Kydd of Marion, Iowa; Sue (Dwight) Lenz of Kellogg; Patty (Randy) Jackson of Newton; her eight grandchildren, David (Cindy) Kydd and Tom (Kimberly) Kydd, Todd Lenz and Teri (Kent) Langmaid, Sean Kelly and Scott Kelly, Cortney McGee and David Eilander; and her nine great-grandchilren, Meagan, Tyler, Bailey and Austin Kydd, Courtney, Abbey and Nathan Lenz; Nicole and Kayla Langmaid.
