Lloyd D. Van Wyk, age 60 of Omaha, Nebraska, died Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Monroe with burial following at Silent City Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Faith Family Church in Omaha and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.
The son of Dale and Edna (Van Ee) Van Wyk, Lloyd was born on June 15, 1952, in Oskaloosa. He graduated from Monroe High School. On December 8, 1990, he was united in marriage to Shelene McConeghey in Monroe. Lloyd worked as a District Sales manager for Renze Seeds. He was a member of Faith Family Church in Omaha.
Survivors include his wife, Shelene of Omaha; their children, Eric (Kris) Van Wyk of Sterling, Colorado, Angie (Tom) Brinkman of Lincoln, Nebraska, Jessica Shaver of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Jeremy (Kristin) Klein of Omaha and Jennifer Klein also of Omaha; nine grandchildren; his mother Edna Van Ee of Pella; a sister Linda (Keith) Roorda of Monroe, a brother, Larry (Cindy) Van Wyk of Monroe and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Lloyd in death was his father, Dale and a brother, Lee.
