Delores Mae Marshall, age 78 of Monroe, died Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Pella Regional Health Center. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 12, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Monroe, with burial following at Dunreath Cemetery.

The daughter of Dale and Marjorie (Waddle) Phifer, Delores was born on January 14, 1934, in Marion County, Iowa. On January 22, 1950, she was united in marriage to Harlan E. Marshall in Monroe. Delores was a member at the First Baptist Church in Monroe where she was active in her younger years. She was also a dedicated farm wife in which everything revolved around her family and their farm. Delores enjoyed music and learned to play the piano as she joined Harlan and his blue grass band the Bristle Ridge Gully Jumpers.
Survivors include her children, Keith Marshall and his wife Diane of Indianola, Kevin Marshall and his wife Deana of Monroe and Danny Marshall of Monroe; five grandchildren, Greg Marshall and his wife Robyn, Andy Marshall and his wife Meridith, Leslie Marshall, Jason Palmer, and Shawn Palmer; two great grandchildren, Noah Palmer and Ethan Marshall; and two sisters, Eula Rawls of Monroe and Joyce Cline of Des Moines.
Preceding her in death was her parents, husband in 2006, a sister Betty Beyer and a brother Johnny.
