Catherine Livingston, 38, of Buckingham passed away on January 14, 2013. Services will be held Friday, January 18, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Dysart. Burial will be in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Catherine Irene Livingston was born on July 17, 1974, at Waterloo, Iowa, the second child of William Kenneth and Marcia Ellen (Thomason) Livingston. She attended pre-school at the Geneseo Center of Dysart-Geneseo Community Schools. When she was five years old, it was discovered that she had a brain tumor. Complications from the aftermath of the surgery left her totally handicapped. She attended River Hills School for Special Needs Children in Cedar Falls until she was 21. She then transferred to Adults, Inc., which later became North Star Community Services, where she attended until the time of her death. She had her daily routine of getting up and being made ready for the bus. She attended church at Calvary Baptist Church in Dysart regularly with her family.
Surviving her are her parents William and Marcia Livingston of Buckingham, Iowa, two brothers, William Carl (Victoria) Livingston of Ankeny, Iowa, James Kenneth (Desirae) Livingston of Vinton, Iowa and one sister, Christine Janice (James) Trahms of Ankeny, Iowa, four nieces and five nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William McClair and Verda Janice (Worth) Livingston and Arthur Bruce and Inez Irene (Schrader) Thomason.
