Mrs. Gearhart Of Colfax Dies Sunday Morning

Colfax – Mrs. Fannie Frances Gearhart, 89, a veteran member of The Daily News Three-Quarter Century club, died Sunday morning at Mercy hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at two o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the Colfax Methodist church. Rev. Floyd L. Shepherd will officiate. Burial will be in the McKeever cemetery.
Mrs. Gearhart had been a resident of the Colfax vicinity for about 84 years. She was born Nov. 5, 1859, in Vermont and came from Ohio in 1864. She was married to Charles L. Gearhart Feb. 13, 1879, in a ceremony in Sherman township.
She was a member of the Colfax Methodist church.
Survivors include one son, Glenn of Hopkins, Minn., a former Colfax resident.
