Lynnville – A. L. Renaud, 63, lifetime resident of Jasper county, died Friday morning of a heart attack. He had been an auctioneer for many years.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the Friends church in Lynnville. Rev. Ed Thompson, pastor of the Friends church, will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery at Lynnville.
Mr. Renaud was born Dec. 28, 1884, in the Chester neighborhood five miles southwest of Lynnville. For the past 40 years he had lived in Lynnville. He was the son of Charles and Mary Renaud.
Pall bearers will be Charles Renaud, Reno Stull, Frank Mitchell, Clarence VerSteegh, Harris VanGenderen and Mose Sparks. Mrs. Roscoe Sparks and Mrs. Harvey Gause are in charge of flower arrangements.
The Sully-Lynnville quartet consisting of Jacob Brand, Warren Stanley, Abe Vander Veck and Kenneth Ratcliff will sing, accompanied by Mrs. Vander Veck. The songs will be “In the Garden” and “Old Rugged Cross.”
Mr. Renaud is survived by three brothers, Willet A. of Long Beach, Calif., and Willis A. of Lynnville, who are twins and E. B. of Lynnville; one half-brother, A. T. Gifford of Lynnville; a sister, Mrs. Arie Neagle of Walker, Ia., who is spending the winter in California, and a number of nieces and nephews.
