Mrs. Clara V., widow of Gen. James B. Weaver, died last Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. C. Evans, in Des Moines, in her 82d year, a victim of pneumonia, surviving her honored husband 17 months. Seven of the eight children born to this union survive to mourn the loss and honor the memory of as loving a mother as Colfax has ever known. In the fullness of years she has laid aside her burdens and gone to rejoin the companion who owed most of the happiness he knew in this life to her loving counsel and wifely devotion. Extended obituary will appear in next week's paper.
