Mr. John Warrick, sr., died at his home at Oswalt last Friday evening, aged over 80 years. Funeral services were held at the home on Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. Popplewell and the body laid to rest at McKeever cemetery. John Warrick was born in Yorkshire, England, January 14, 1828, married in 1854. Had been a resident of Jasper county since 1883. His wife and five of the fifteen children born to them survive. His sons operate the Warrick coal mines. Their only daughter lives in Des Moines.
