A Sudden Summons
Mrs. Thomas Warrick, of Poweshiek township, was found dead in her bed about 7 o'clock yesterday morning. Her husband arose about five, and started the fires, and returning to bed fell asleep. When he awoke at seven he spoke to Mrs. Warrick who did not respond, so he investigated, finding her cold in death. It is supposed she died with apoplexy, but she had retired in good health for she had visited at the home of her son the previous day. The Warricks came here from Yorkshire, England about five years ago and operated the Warrick coal mines. Mrs. Warrick was forty-seven years of age and the mother of two sons. Funeral services will be conducted from the home of her son, Alfred by Rev. Walburn at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon and the interment will be at the McKeever cemetery.
