Alfred Warrick died Wednesday at the home of his son Frank 1 1/2 miles southeast of town, after sixteen months of illness. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. Brooks. Interment at McKeever's Cemetery.
Obituary
Alfred William Warrick was born at Malton, Yorkshire, England, May 20, 1855 and died at the home of his son, near Valeria, Iowa, Oct. 25, 1922, at the age of 67 years, 5 months and 5 days. He was married to Hannah Eccles Feb. 14, 1879.
To this union were born three children, his daughter died in infancy. He leaves to mourn his death two sons and their wives, Frank Warrick and wife, Thomas Alfred Warrick and four grandchildren, of Valeria, one sister, Mrs. Fred Hill, of Des Moines, Iowa, and three brothers, Thomas E. Warrick, John Warrick and James Warrick, of Colfax, Iowa, and many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Warrick came to this country from England in 1885 and settled at Angus, Iowa. He was a member of the Methodist Church of that place.
To know him was to love him and his light shall shine afar, Lighting up the paths of other As they cross the golden bar.
Funeral at 2:00 o'clock Friday, Oct. 27, at the house. Internment at McKeevers Cemetery.
