Mrs. Cora Warren Died Monday March 13th
Cora Warren, 81, longtime resident of Colfax, died Monday, March 13, 1972 at the Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton. She had entered the hospital Saturday.
The daughter of Samuel E. and Elizabeth Cotton Schoonover, she was born Sept. 27, 1890 at Harvey, Iowa. She was a lifelong resident of Iowa.
In 1905 she was married to Thomas Warren. Following marriage they lived for a short time on a farm near Adelphi, Iowa, moving to Colfax in 1919, where she continued to reside until her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1947, a daughter, Inez, who died in infancy, and a granddaughter.
Surviving, are a son, Samuel E. Warren of Newton; two daughters, Mrs. Marion Vasey (Ephia) and Mrs. Arthur Riebe (Leona) both of Oakland, Calif.; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter; also nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Mrs. Warren was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at Runnells.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 16, 1972 at 2 p.m. in Walters Funeral Home at Colfax. Elder Glen Oswalt will conduct the services.
Burial will be in the Powers-Warren Cemetery near Adelphi.
