Newton Lady Died at Grand Hotel
Mrs. Dan Manning, of Newton who had been at the Grand Hotel the past week, passed away early Sunday morning. Her condition was thought to have been more favorable than ordinary and her death came as a shock to all. She had been in failing health for some time.
She leaves her husband, two daughters, Helen and Alice Manning, her mother, Mrs. Frank Peavey and one brother Claude Peavey of Arkansas. She has lived in the county all of her life and has friends in this vicinity who will learn with sorrow of her passing.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock at the Sacred heart Church in Newton, Father McCann officiating. Burial was made in the Catholic cemetery.
