Mildred H. Irwin, Former Resident Dies on Sunday
Mrs. I. Perry (Mildred H.) Irwin, 80 of Davenport, formerly of 408 E. 5th St. N., a resident of Newton from 1928 until 1978, died Sunday morning in Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Reese Chapel.
Dr. Richard Bentzinger, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Reese Chapel after 1 p.m. today.
Memorial contributions to a fund in Mrs. Irwin’s name will be accepted. Memorials may be left at the funeral home.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Shirley) Van Hall of Davenport; a grandson, Dirk Van Hall; and a sister, Mrs. Edythe Mac Morris Jones of Laguna Hills, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son and two sisters.
Mrs. Irwin was a member of World War I Barracks Auxiliary.
The daughter of Benjamin and Carrie Andrews, she was born Dec. 21, 1899 in Ida County.
She was married Dec. 13, 1919 in Ida County.
