Alfred Earl Hulse Died September 20th
Alfred Earl Hulse, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred M. Hulse, was born in Greencastle, Jasper Co., September 23, 1887 and died in Northwest Hospital, September 20, 1968, in Des Moines, within 3 days of his 81st birth date.
He was educated in the schools of the Mingo area and became a member of the Methodist Church at an early age.
He served as Jasper County Auditor for several years and later was engaged in business in Newton before moving to Warren, Ohio, where he and his wife worked at the Maytag store.
Later they moved to Des Moines and in recent years he was a salesman for James Realty Co.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, one sister, Mrs. S. J. Roberts, Los Angeles, Calif., two brothers, Otha of Mingo and Harvey of Des Moines, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Services were held Monday at Westover Funeral Home, Des Moines. The Rev. Kern of St. Andrews Episcopal Church officiated. Interment was in Greencastle Cemetery near Mingo.
