Last Rites For Vincent Holland Held Here Saturday
Last rites for Vincent Holland were held here Saturday afternoon at the Bumgardner Funeral Home with Rev. Wilmer Leeds officiating. The ashes were placed in the family lot at the Colfax cemetery.
Vincent Holland, the son of Dr. and Mrs. C. M. Holland, was born in Colfax, Iowa and died December 9th at Salt Lake City, Utah. He had been quite ill in May when he had submitted to a serious operation on his chest, and from which he never fully recovered.
After his marriage he resided in Baxter and other points in Iowa and then the family moved to Peoria, Ill. He later went to Minneapolis and then west to work.
He is survived by two daughters and three sons, Mrs. Helen Kubkle of Peoria, Ill., Lucille, who is married and lives in Bridgeport, Conn., Ed of Minneapolis, Minn., Frank of Chicago and Raymond who is in the army stationed at Selfridge Field, Michigan. His parents and wife preceded him in death.
Those attending the funeral from away were Mrs. Helen Kubkle of Peoria, Ill., Raymond of Michigan, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Holland and daughter of Minneapolis and Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Holland of Chicago.
