DIED - At her home in Colfax, Iowa, on Friday, June 14, 1889, Martha M. Hill; aged 67 years, 11 months and 26 days.
Mrs. Hill was born in Clark county, Ohio, but had lived in Iowa for a number of years past. She was the mother of twelve children, four of whom survive her - Bruce and Jessie, of Colfax; Hiram, of Stuart and Mrs. Lillie Cozad, of La Cygne, Kansas. Mrs. Hill had been a widow for several years, and was esteemed and respected by all who knew her. A large number of friends and neighbors attended the funeral which was from the residence Sunday afternoon and was conducted by Rev. Vail, the interment being at Oak Hill.
