Death of Harold William Hays
Little Harold William Hays, son of William and Floy Hays of Spooner, Wis., was born in Mingo, Iowa, Feb. 15th, 1923 and departed this life at the home of his grandfather, W. F. Hays at Mingo, August 20th, 195. He moved with his parents to Spooner, Wis., in May 1923. He suffered an attack of influenza in April of this year, which resulted in complications from which he never recovered. He was a very patient sufferer which was noticeable by the doctors and nurses.
He leaves to mourn his loss, beside his parents, three sisters, Velma, Forestine and Wanda and one brother Lyle and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by a little sister who died at the age of 2 ½ months.
Mr. and Mrs. Hays and family have the sympathy of this community in their bereavement.
Funeral services were held by Rev. Wm. Allen of the M.E. Church Sunday afternoon. Four boys, Robert Clement, Melvin Faukhouser, Jack Parisho and Chas. Akins acted as pall bearers. Interment was made at the Graham cemetery.

The out of town relatives were: Mr. and Mrs. Milo Warner of Maxwell; Mrs. Peavy, Mr. Manning and two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Weston of Newton; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Welch, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Harter of Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. P. Hays and Mr. Dennison of Collins; Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hays and son Gerald of Mitchellville.
