Services were held Saturday, August 2, 1980, for Florence B. Eatwell at the Farrar United Methodist church with Rev. Charles Luers officiating. Burial was in Graham Cemetery at Mingo.
The daughter of Luke and Jane Rollings, Florence was born October 29, 1897 at Green Valley, Ill. She was married to John W. Eatwell, Sr. on August 29, 1917 at Mankato, Minn. To this marriage were born 12 children. The major part of her married life was spent in the Mingo-Farrar area.
Survivors are her husband, John, Sr., and eight children, Jennie Fisher, Barnum, Minn.; Elma Yoakum, Colfax; Loren Eatwell, Maxwell; Lawrence Eatwell, Mingo; John Eatwell, Jr., Waukee; Mrs. Harvey (Betty) Reed, Indianola; Mrs. Dick (Bonnie) Ferguson and Shirley Eatwell, Lisle, Ill. Florence is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Also two sisters, Mrs. Elma Ethrington, Lake Crystal, Minn., and Mrs. Fanny Rogers, New Providence, Iowa.
Preceding her in death were her parents, four children, Luke, Earl, Robert and Lorraine, plus three sisters and six brothers.
Following several years of poor health, Florence died at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Baxter on July 30, 1980 at 82 years of age.
