Funeral services for Mrs. Horace (Margaret) Coles, 76, a resident of Colfax since 1943, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 22, at the Colfax First Baptist Church.
The Rev. Robert Snyder of Newton, former pastor of the church, will conduct services.
Additional services and burial will be held at Bremo Bluff, Va.
Mrs. Coles died Monday, March 19, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
She is survived by a brother, Charlie Gunnell of Virginia; two sisters, Alberta Young and Pauline Washington, both of Washington, D.C.; eight nieces and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Fred, and her parents.
Mrs. Coles was a member of the Colfax First Baptist Church.
The daughter of Bradley and Mary Elizabeth McGruder Gunnell, she was born July 2, 1907 in Virginia.
