Hanna Braun, 85, Dies Sunday; Rites Wednesday
BAXTER – Mrs. Otto (Hanna) Braun, 85, a resident of Baxter since 1953, died Sunday at the Marshalltown Hospital East.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Baxter.
The Rev. Gary Hubley, pastor of the church, and the Rev. T. A. Thompson, retired pastor of the church, will conduct services.
Burial will be in the Restland Cemetery in Baxter.
Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home in Baxter is handling arrangements.
Survivors are three sons, Alvin of Fort Meyer, Fla., Louis E. of Rockford, Ill., and Arthur L. of Baxter; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Martens of Baxter and Mrs. Marguerite Dunn of Independence; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Trena Groninga of Worthington, Minn., and Minnie Sibley; and a brother, Hebo Rust of Sibley.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1958 and her parents.
Mrs. Braun was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ at Baxter, Autumn Leaf Club and Senior Citizens.
The daughter of Everet and Trentje Bruns Rust, she was born Nov. 26, 1891 at Grundy Center and was educated in Sibley schools.
She was married April 4, 1911 at Sibley.
