Mrs. E. S. Baker, of Morgan Valley, died last Wednesday, and her remains were brought here to the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. Born yesterday, whence the funeral was conducted by Rev. Quickenden, at 3 o’clock this afternoon and the interment was beside her husband at Oak Hill. Mrs. Baker was over 70 years of age, and was among the oldest citizens of Colfax. She leaves two daughters, Mary, who made her home with and took care of her mother, and Mrs. Born, as above noted. (A more extended review of the life of this excellent woman will be given in this paper next week.)
