Mrs. Hattie Couch Bailey, well known to Colfax people as the elder daughter of D. S. Couch, late of this place, died in a Chicago hospital last Tuesday - a victim of typhoid fever. She was about 40 years old, and her remains were taken to Newton, where her mother and sister still reside, and after a largely attended funeral from the Henry Sampey home the interment occurred at the Newton cemetery yesterday.
