Mrs. Carrier Passes Away

Mrs. Abram Carrier, 91 Years Old, Dies at Home of Daughter, Mrs. Jas. Moscrip

Mrs. Abram Carrier, aged 91 years, one of Jasper county’s oldest and most highly respected residents, passed to her reward last evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jack Moscrip. Death has followed a long and useful life of a good woman. Mrs. Carrier has been ill for a period of about three weeks, and although her death is a great shock to her children, it was not entirely unexpected.

A gradual wearing out of the great human machine that has served so usefully for nearly a century, finally caused the end in the life of this woman. The sincere sympathy of the entire community is extended to the surviving family of Mrs. Abram Carrier.

Sarah Jane Anderson, Was born January 16, 1828, in Ohio, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson. The family were natives of York county. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa, August 23, 1919.
