John Stewart Dies Friday, Rites Monday
COLFAX – John Stewart Jr., 59, a lifelong resident of Colfax, died Friday at Northwest Hospital in Des Moines.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Colfax Christian Church.
The Rev. Gaylon Decious, pastor of the church, will officiate.
Walters Funeral Home in Colfax is handling arrangements.
Surviving are his widow, Margaret; a sister, Mrs. Pete Van Dusseldorp of Altoona and a brother, Frank, of Colfax.
Mr. Stewart was a member of the Colfax Christian Church.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. John Stewart Sr., he was born Mar. 10, 1910 at Colfax.
He was married to Margaret Ardis Farver Feb. 17, 1934, at Princeton, Mo.
Mr. Stewart worked at the Ford Implement Co. in Des Moines for several years.
